When the Duke offers Elsa her first dance as queen, Elsa mischievously volunteers Anna instead. Anna is dragged onto the dance floor, where she is subjected to the Duke's over-the-top dance skills, much to Elsa's amusement. Afterwards, Anna and Elsa laugh about the matter, with Anna openly wishing their lives could always be carefree. In Olaf's Frozen Adventure, Anna wears her hair in a bun for the majority of the special but reverts to her standard braids when she and Elsa are leading the search for Olaf. Her attire is comprised of a sky blue dress with bells and goats patterned motif around the hemline, using the same fabric as the tablecloths in the ballroom. In the end, despite her flaws, Anna is an extremely sweet, selfless, and loving character.

This allowed Anna to accept that having the family and friends she has made as the greatest gift she's ever received.

Pabbie is able to save Anna by cleansing her body of all magic, including memories of magic. Though this leaves Anna with no recollection of Elsa's powers, Agnarr declares that it's for the best. At 18 years of age during the original film[7] and 21 during Frozen II,[3] Anna has a slender build and fair skin. When she wears sleeveless dresses, it is shown that she has some freckles on her shoulders in addition to the ones on her face. She has a platinum-blonde streak on the right side of her hair due to an accident in which she was struck by Elsa's magic during childhood.

Filled with new determination, Anna asked Olaf to help her up, hoping to reunite with the ice harvester. As the snowman helped Anna to her feet, the blizzard's strength began to intensify, and ice spikes started to form in the castle, threatening to trap the pair within. The duo managed to escape from a window, but upon reaching the frozen fjord, Olaf was blown away by the winds, leaving Anna to traverse the icy landscape alone. Kristoff prepared the two of them for descent by tying a rope and making a snow anchor. However, Elsa's guard was beginning to catch up once again and threw a tree to herald his approach.

Though Anna claimed she did not skate, Elsa enthusiastically pulled her sister along, and with Olaf's help, she coached Anna. Enjoying the summer day with Olaf, Kristoff, Sven, and the villagers, the two sisters happily skated along, the rift between them healed at long last. Upon Olaf's usage of Kristoff to demonstrate his point, Anna slowly realized that the ice harvester loved her. Suddenly, the winds from the storm caused a window to burst open; as he went to shut it, Olaf gleefully noticed that Kristoff was rushing back to Arendelle.
Anna began to leap from one mound of snow to another while Elsa used her magic to take Anna to greater heights. Completely absorbed in her jumping, Anna did not realize that Elsa was struggling to keep up. When Elsa slipped while Anna was in midair, she desperately fired a beam in an attempt to intercept Anna's fall.
When Elsa exiles herself from the kingdom after inadvertently sending Arendelle into an eternal winter on the evening of her coronation, Anna goes on a dangerous adventure and brings her sister back. The site is soon attacked by the Fire Spirit, and Elsa uses her powers to put out its flames (and saves Anna from suffocating after she runs into the flames). Kristoff leaves Anna in the care of the castle servants and accepts that she no longer needs him.

With neither sister realizing the danger, Anna continues with her persistence, but Elsa remains firm on her decision and orders Anna to leave for her own safety. When Anna refuses, Elsa creates a hulking snowman to remove Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf from the palace. Anna is the youngest child in the royal family of Arendelle, whose older sister, Elsa was born with the power to create and control ice and snow.

During her retreat, she inadvertently unleashes an eternal winter throughout all of the kingdom of Arendelle. Anna, believing it's her fault for accidentally pushing and pressuring her sister, heads off to find her and bring her back, leaving Hans in charge of Arendelle until both sisters return. Upon entering, Anna is watching as Elsa chases after Gale deeper into the forest, while Anna herself is left to deal with the magical fires Bruni left all over the place and the lead Earth Giant blocking further entry into the forest. Once he's gone, they find Elsa with Gale, but the Nokk is blocking their way with a fast-moving river over Elsa's ice bridge due to something in the nearby pond annoying it. After the player fishes it up, revealing it to be Anna's engagement ring, the Nokk calms down and allows them to meet up with Elsa and Gale.
At a trading post on her journey, Anna meets a mountain man and ice harvester named Kristoff and his reindeer Sven. Kristoff agrees to lead her to the North Mountain, where he knows that a magical phenomenon has occurred. The group are chased by wolves on the way and later encounter a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf, who was unknowingly brought to life by Elsa, whom Anna remembers from her and Elsa's childhood, and he later helps lead them to her palace.
Anna felt completely lost, unable to stand because of the grief that weighed so heavily upon her. With small steps Anna began to rise from the cavern's floor and slowly make her way towards the exit. She had to scale a wall and leap across a chasm, but eventually up, to clamber out of the cavern and stand in the new light of dawn. Despite things now being so different, Anna vouched to continue, and do the next right thing. It was then that she set eyes on the dam, and with renewed determination ran down a hill back towards the river; once there, she screamed at an Earth Giant to wake up. Once roused, the giant stumbled onto one of his fellows; in total three woke up and began to pursue her through the forest.
